Babine Norlakes Trout Lodge & Steelhead Camp, Babine Lake & Babine River, BC, Canada

Babine Norlakes

Babine Norlakes has been a family owned and operated fly fishing tourism business since 1949.  We are located in northern British Columbia on Babine Lake and the Babine River which is part of the Skeena  River watershed.

The Babine River is world famous for its fly fishing only section of the Babine River called Rainbow Alley, and for its world record size steelhead in the Class A Provincial Park called the Babine River Corridor Park. Rainbow Alley is accessed through our Trout Lodge in the spring and summer months, and the steelhead season is accessed through our Steelhead Camp in the fall.

We offer housekeeping cabins and limited guiding in the spring and summer, and we offer meals, accommodation and guiding for steelhead at our Steelhead Camp in the fall.  Both operations and seasons are located on trophy properties with access to some of BC’s finest trout and steelhead fly fishing.

Smithers, British Columbia is where our packages begin and end but our lodge and camp are boat access only with prior reservations needed prior to your arrival.  The species of fish you can expect to find in the Babine River include Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, Lake Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Steelhead, Coho salmon, Chinook salmon, Pink salmon, and Sockeye salmon.
